Dan Mohr is the founder of Mohr Capital Management and ETF Create, where he helps investment professionals turn their strategies into operational exchange-traded funds.
Dan brings the perspective of an ETF sponsor, investment adviser,
portfolio manager, and trading sub-adviser. He has built and launched
multiple ETFs and remains directly involved in the trading, operations,
compliance oversight, service-provider relationships,
board reporting, and other responsibilities associated with managing
funds.
Through ETF Create, Dan works with asset managers, financial advisers,
index providers, and investment entrepreneurs to evaluate whether an ETF
is the right structure for their strategy and guide them through the
launch process. His work spans strategy development,
fund positioning, financial modeling, service-provider coordination,
regulatory filings, operational setup, and exchange listing.
Importantly, Dan’s role does not end when the ETF launches. Through Mohr
Capital Management, he will remain engaged as the fund’s trading
sub-adviser. In this role, he helps implement portfolio changes while
navigating the trading, operational, compliance,
and service-provider requirements unique to ETFs.
This structure allows the investment manager to retain control of the
strategy and portfolio decisions while relying on an experienced trading
sub-adviser to handle their implementation within the ETF structure. It
also provides continuity from the fund’s initial
design and launch through its ongoing operation in the market.
Dan’s approach is practical and transparent. He helps prospective
sponsors understand not only how to launch an ETF, but also what it
takes to trade, operate, finance, and grow one after it reaches the
market.
